The Snow Machines

A company that Carlie work's for and who we are also friends with make these snow blowers. We were able to go to the river and see Brek test them by blowing water out of them. It was a really a neat thing to see. Its amazing how far the water can shoot!! Now who can say they have seen that before!?

Lacy's Trip

Lacy got to go to SLC too, only it was this weekend. They stayed in a canyon just outside of the city where she and a friend babysat our friend's baby boy. They had a lot of snow up there - Lacy said 15 ft in some places - and, judging from the pictures, a lot of time :-D

My SLC Trip

Our German Club went to SLC to eat German Food, and .... pretty much eat German food. But we also got to go on a tour of Capital Theater (see underground where the performers go, and hear about the ghost!), eat at Olive Garden, and go see the lights on Temple Square. We were late getting back because the roads were so slick, but I had a fun time.

From top to bottom: me and some friends freezing outside of Siegfried's (the German restaurant), the food I ate (wienerschnitzel with potatoes and spaezle [I don't think I spelled any of that right]), messing around at the gateway mall, our whole group of kids, the organist inside the old conference center.

I know, it was in December, but at least I've got something up here

A Long Time Ago....

...In a galaxy far, far away....yeah, I know, these pictures were a long time ago. Cut me some slack, at least they're on here ;-)

I'm going to do multiple updates really fast, so .... here we go. These are more pictures of us at the temple. It was SO cold!

Temple Trip

We got to go to the Rexburg Temple Openhouse late in January...I can't remember the exact date. It was a really neat experience. My favorite part was the celestial room - the chandeliers were absolutely gorgeous. And then we got to go and eat at Sizzler's, which was also awesome. Even though it was really, really, cold, we took a couple pictures of the temple. I apologize for the one that's not turned right...I would post more pictures, but Lacy has the camera in Utah, so those will have to come later.

SURPRISE! NEW POSTS!

I know, I know: the world is coming to an end because I finally got a new post on the blog. Just thought we'd update y'all on what we did for thanksgiving. We just stayed at home and had my Grandma and Grandpa Savage and my aunt and uncle from Colorado visit. We ate, played basketball, went swimming, and even attempted to get Christmas trees (we actually didn't end up getting any until later on)

This is the "adult" part of the crew getting ready to eat dinner. It took us all morning to prepare and only about 30 minutes to eat it all.

We took group pictures in 20 degree weather up at Pomerelle. I couldn't feel my feet. But, we all put on smiles anyway :-)

And....I didn't upload any of the basketball pictures because it was too dark in our church gym to really see anything. Maybe I'll edit those and post them later.

We hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving and are looking forward to Christmas - I know we are!!!

I have a pretty intense schedule. I get up, go to school, go to work, come home, do my homework, eat, do my chores and go to bed. Then I get up and do it all over again. I got a job at Kodiak Northwest, which is a company that makes snow machines. Don't worry, I'm not in the shop endangering anybody's health. I do filing and accounting work. And I get paid about $9/hr.

At our school veterans day assembly (sorry, no pictures of that) I got to sing Lee Greenwood's God Bless the U.S.A., and I got a standing ovation. It was pretty neat. I also just got done with the Sadie Hawkin's dance earlier this month, which was also fun. After the dance we watched Poltergeist in the mortuary *imitates Pyscho theme music*.
It's always fun when you get to do things at school that don't have anything to do with school. During homecoming week (I know it was all a long time ago) I played in the powderpuff football game. I was a middle linebacker. We came so close to winning, and we would have beat the seniors except they started playing dirty (they punched a couple of our girls in the face, we threw one of their player's knees out of place -- it was an intense game). I gained a new admiration for football players. By the way - good job to Oakley on their winning season. It's almost basketball time now, which means Burley gets a chance to dominate (AGAIN)
And then, if you didn't see a picture of me in my homecoming outfit, here it is. I didn't get to go to Burley's homecoming because a guy from Minico asked me, but it was still....interesting.
