Lacy

Lacy sure is a busy girl. She got done with her volleyball season not too long ago, and is now almost done with basketball. I would put volleyball pictures on here, but they're so dark you can't even see what's going on. These pictures are from her last basketball game. She's usually number 22, to honor my dad (*HAH!*) and Danny Ainge, but this year she couldn't get 22 so she settled for the next best -- she's number 2.
Below, Lacy and her friends at a field trip to the City of Rocks (at least that's what I think it was) She has a really sweet group of girls that she hangs out with - they're all younger siblings of people I know, sort of like minime's... This is picture of Lacy and her friends at her birthday party. They went on a video scavenger hunt (courtesy of me) and it was a HOOT! Most of the girls said it was the best party they had ever been to. They watched the videos they made for each other as they ate cake and ice cream
And, as busy as Lacy is with being the star of the basketball team and keeping straight A's in school, plus putting up with all of us crazies, she still has time to mess around. You don't even want to know how many pictures like this one there are on our camera....

Kasiah

Kasiah is also doing very well. She's really involved in sports - she got through playing volleyball not too long ago. When she can, she loves to ride horses. I also have to fight her CONSTANTLY for the internet, because she likes to get on dinky little toy websites and play their games. She loves to play with animals, and another one of her hobbies, as you can see, is posing for the camera. Smile! :-D

Hayden

Hayden has been doing great. He's an awesome athelete and just an all around cutie pie! We love him so much - most of the time. I especially love it when he's not trying to beat me up (I know it's hard to believe that someone could be tougher than me, but it's true)!!! He's doing great in school, but gets a little stressed out about his adverbs, adjectives, and nouns. But he's a very smart boy, and he gets great grades. The highlight of Hayden's month was the hunting trip with Dad that he went on....even though we couldn't keep the deer.

UPDATES!

I thought I would give an update on how each member of the family was doing. I'm doing this partly because I feel guilty not having updated the blog in so long, and partly because I'm sick of getting bugged (just kidding, guys) :-)

Mom's doing well. She's busy, as usual, helping all of us kids with all of the stuff we have to do, but somehow she still manages to keep the family together. She'll probably hate me for posting these pictures (even though they're a little outdated). The first one is her on a typical morning, except maybe without the smile. The next one is with her best friend from high school at a class reunion. We got to go to that with her, and boy was it an experience

Dad is still busy working, hunting, and pretending that he rides his horse enough. And, as you can see by the picture - no matter how busy he is, he always finds time for good food :-)

FIRST DEER HUNT

This was Hayden's first deer hunt. It was a great experience. We went with a guy I used to work with and his son. As you can see by the shape the deer is in, everyone that had a gun, got to put a hole in the deer. We let them keep the deer beings he was the first to shoot at it. This was the deer that came running right for Hayden. When you see him you will have to hear the story. You know how deer stories are better told than written. We really had a lot of fun. Still keeping busy with kids and school etc. Lacy and Kasiah are doing great with basketball. Carlie is still busy with school clubs dating etc. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. And as much as I do on this blog and as much as I read them, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year also. Oh and Happy Valentines day, Easter, 4th of July, etc, etc.

This first photo is Carlie singing the national anthem at one of the Rodeos. Then the picture of The sheriff and his deputy.

LIFE AT THE FAIR

Well the fair has come and gone. We were pretty busy with pigs, kiwanis, posse, 4H, and Carlie as the fair princess. It seemed as if we lived at the fair. We did well with our pigs, the prices were great. Carlie did a wonderful job as princess this year. At the Queens breakfast she sang a medly of songs as part of the program. After the program the Fairbord president and some other people asked her if she would like to sing the National Anthem at all three nights at the Rodeo and do it from horseback. She also sang the National Anthem at the concert. This first picture is of her with Little Texas. Restless Heart was also there. All in all was a great week.
