FIRST DEER HUNT

This was Hayden's first deer hunt. It was a great experience. We went with a guy I used to work with and his son. As you can see by the shape the deer is in, everyone that had a gun, got to put a hole in the deer. We let them keep the deer beings he was the first to shoot at it. This was the deer that came running right for Hayden. When you see him you will have to hear the story. You know how deer stories are better told than written. We really had a lot of fun. Still keeping busy with kids and school etc. Lacy and Kasiah are doing great with basketball. Carlie is still busy with school clubs dating etc. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. And as much as I do on this blog and as much as I read them, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year also. Oh and Happy Valentines day, Easter, 4th of July, etc, etc.

This first photo is Carlie singing the national anthem at one of the Rodeos. Then the picture of The sheriff and his deputy.

LIFE AT THE FAIR

Well the fair has come and gone. We were pretty busy with pigs, kiwanis, posse, 4H, and Carlie as the fair princess. It seemed as if we lived at the fair. We did well with our pigs, the prices were great. Carlie did a wonderful job as princess this year. At the Queens breakfast she sang a medly of songs as part of the program. After the program the Fairbord president and some other people asked her if she would like to sing the National Anthem at all three nights at the Rodeo and do it from horseback. She also sang the National Anthem at the concert. This first picture is of her with Little Texas. Restless Heart was also there. All in all was a great week.

Oklahoma!

This is a picture of us
girls during "Out of my dreams"
Lacy & I get to sing a
solo line.

This [right] is Leland. Lacy and Kelby are the envy of most of the girls in the play because they get to kiss him during "All or Nothin'". Lucky, lucky them.

Hayden is sure one cute little cowboy. He dances really well

in "The Farmer and the Cowman"

This is a picture of some of the members of the self proclaimed "Leland Fan Club". Just what is that? Ask Kori or Kasiah. They'll be happy to tell you all about how they stalk him - and how happy they were when they got his autograph yesterday :-)

Many faces of Hayden

When our family went up to
Boise to see our Burley
Boys play in the state
basketball tournament
(which they won!) Hayden
went on a basketball craze.
He's here in the Idaho Center
showing the camera his follow through.
The team and all of the fans are down below.

He also likes to pretend that he is a BYU football player. He's putting on his game face here.

And of course, he's just plain cute. We love him.

Hayden "Cowboys Up"

These pictures were taken.......sometime last week. I had woke up to go riding, and Hayden decided that he wanted to go with me. I told him that he didn't have to, but he got all dressed up in his cowboy gear anyway. He was just so cute on B.V., that we had to get him to pose for a picture! This is one of his "cowboy" days. During different days, he decides that he wants to be different things. Sometimes he's a cowboy, sometimes he's a basketball player, gymnast....we've even had him be Batman. "To the Batmobile!"

Partial Update

I figure that it's time that this blog got a little action. We need to get this sucker updated more frequently, so I decided to make myself a contributer to this blog. I'll probably be doing most of the updating, because, you know, I pretty much don't have a life. I'm pretty much busy with Rodeo and, of course, with Oklahoma. I got to be on Zeb Bell's Radio Show on Monday, July 2nd. I had an interview where I talked about myself, my experiences as princess, etc. It was really fun. He told me that I was a girl who had "all my ducks in a line"...or something about birds in a line. I think they liked me. Grandpa says that I'll need a bigger hat. I told him that I'm my dad's hat size, and you'd think that his hats would be large enough :-D I also got to be in the 4th of July Parade, which was a ton of fun. I was kind of disappointed, though, that I didn't get to be on the Oklahoma float. I got to go first - they had to go dead last. I have pictures of that that I'll have to get up later...I'm sort of just figuring out how to use this thing. We also had a party at Kevin and Wendy's for the 4th - that was also a LOT of fun! (My favorite part was when Kevin couldn't figure out why the fireworks weren't going off......he had lit one and forgotten to take it out of the box!)
